Easter Break 2016


This years Easter break in and around the Dacorum area is set to vary between schools and academies in the district.  Good Friday falls on March 25th this year, and with this being a bank holiday, all schools will be off - but that’s where the uniformity ends

Some students are then off from Good Friday for a full three weeks!  50% more than the usual Spring break. Whilst others are expected back at school the following Tuesday-Friday, before taking up the holiday break at the end of the week.

Ashridge Cadbury Easter Egg Trail | 3rd - 6th April | £3

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Trail. Put on your wellies and Eggsplore the secrets of the woodland at Ashridge and learn more about the creatures who live there. Answer questions along the way and collect your reward at the end. The event is sponsored by Cadburys and they will be providing the delicious Easter egg reward at the end. Tring Park Woodland Trust | Throughout 

Follow the Fairy Trail. Go on an extraordinary adventure in a magical bluebell wood. Join Blue and Belle, the woodland fairies, on an adventure to save the precious bluebell woods from Big Old Foot, the clumsy giant. Search “Nature Detectives Family Trail” on your app store to have an interactive adventure. 

“Sweet Charity” at Kings Langley Community Centre | 6th - 9th April 

The Kings Langley Light Opera Company are proud to present Sweet Charity, the adventures of a girl who wanted to be loved.  Music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon Running from 6 – 9 April with great ticket concessions this is a fun day / night out for the the musical theatre loving family. 


The XC Hemel Hempstead

Whatever your experience, be a beginner or seasoned pro, The XC has a range of low to high impact physical activities - great for high energy kids on rainy days!  The attractions include a skatepark, climbing facilities, bouldering, high ropes & freefall, caving a range of mum friendly “chill-out” areas.


The Akeman Tring

For those looking for grown up entertainment over Easter - why not try out The Akeman in Tring, Hertfordshire.  The pub restaurant has recently been awarded a prestigious  “Food Made Good” 3 Star Rating!  The Akeman is owned by Oakman Inns who also own and operate local pubs Red Lion - Water End and The Kings Arms - Berkhamsted.
